EIZO Releases Two New Monitors for the Operating Room and Interventional Radiology

CuratOR LL550W / LS1910Rülzheim, Germany, April 4, 2024 – EIZO GmbH today announced two new monitors in the CuratOR series – the 55-inch LL550W (3840 x 2160 pixels) and the 19-inch LS1910 (1280 x 1024 pixels). The monitors are optimized for displaying both grayscale and color medical images, such as those used in cardiology, angiography, and interventional radiology.

Minimally invasive examinations and procedures require high precision and efficiency. Therefore, it is crucial to create an optimal environment for the medical team, supporting their field of vision, viewing comfort, and usability. The new surgical monitors are specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of these environments. Additionally, both monitors are factory calibrated to comply with the DICOM Part 14 standard, making them optimal for diagnostic imaging.

CuratOR LL550W
The LL550W is the successor to the LS580W. It features a spacious 55-inch screen with a high 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), a typical brightness of 700 cd/m2, a typical contrast ratio of 1100:1, and an IPS panel with wide viewing angles. This provides users with a convenient, centralized, and clear view of critical data, especially when multiple people need to view different images simultaneously.

Large-screen LCD monitors are susceptible to fluctuations in brightness across the screen, which can affect image accuracy. To counter this, the LL550W is equipped with EIZO’s Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology which corrects deviations to ensure even brightness distribution across the screen. Images are displayed in real-time with minimal picture delay to ensure that time-critical procedures, such as catheter localization, can be performed accurately.

The LL550W complies with the VESA standard so it can be attached to existing ceiling suspensions or wall fixtures for flexible positioning within the operating room.

CuratOR LS1910
The LS1910 features a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, a typical brightness value of 330 cd/m2, and a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1. The IPS panel with wide viewing angles ensures that color and contrast are retained, even when viewed from an angle. The monitor delivers flicker-free images, even at low refresh rates, alleviating eyestrain caused by a flickering screen.

In OR and medical imaging environments, various equipment supporting different video signals and resolutions is frequently used. The LS1910 has both DisplayPortTM and DVI-I input connections, allowing for flexible connection to modern or legacy imaging systems, whether the image source is digital or analog. Additionally, the monitor can display video input signals in their actual size, scaled, or to stretched to fill the screen, depending on user needs.

The LS1910 monitor is available with or without a stand and complies with the VESA mounting standard for flexible placement. Its compact design facilitates space-saving in even the most constrained environments.
